ALD Hair, Beauty & Barbering Training Academy will be attending the Lord Lawson Careers event Thursday 21st November and would love to chat with anyone who is interested in our academy and training.

Our excellent tutors Darren and Julia will be showing some skills of barber cuts and hair curling too!

ALD can offer the following training in Hair, Beauty & Barbering-

Pre 16 Alternative Education 

FREE Training for anyone aged 16 to 18 years (students must not be attached to training or school)

FREE Traineeship Training 16-19 years (students must not be attached to training or school)

19+ Adult Learning (funding may apply depending on eligibility)

Our fully equip salon/academy offers students first hand experience in their chosen vocations

Great progression routes and excellent success rates!

Small friendly groups with amazing tutors to guide students through their courses helping them achieve their full potential.

VTCT Fully recognised certifications on completion

No experience required

Maths & English hub available too.

Brilliant work from Donna during Sunday's session in the academy.  The Locker Men's barbers was buzzing with our new students working through their files, coursework and also providing free cuts to clients.

Students must note that models/clients are required for each session on this course. ALD will advertise however students must advertise which can be on social media, gum tree, etc

Are you aged between 16 to 18 years and want to train in hair, beauty or barbering?

Train at ALD Hair, Beauty & Barbering for FREE if you are aged 16 to 18  years

Train and gain VTCT Fully recognised certification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or Barbering

Why not attend a taster session at ALD and meet the tutors, managers and discover what it's like being a student with us!  We have amazing fully qualified tutors that will guide you through the course offering support and encouragement to help you succeed.

Courses available FREE for 16 to 18 years in hairdressing, beauty therapy or barbering.  

No previous experience or qualifications required to join!

An example of the student timetable -

2 days per week training at ALD 9.30am to 3pm

1 day per week attending for Maths & English if not already at C/Grade 4 or above 10am to 3pm

1 day salon placement (ALD can help source)

Students may receive a daily bursary for each attending day plus travel and lunch allowances

All products and equipment are provided for students to use in the academy during the course

A salon tunic is provided

We can offer the following training-

FREE Hair, Beauty or Barbering Training for anyone aged 16 to 18 years. Full or part time available.

Carers/parents can still claim child benefits etc while students remaining full time learning

Travel, Daily Bursary and lunch allowance maybe available. 

No experience required and no joining criteria to meet

Work towards a VTCT fully recognised certification 

Excellent progression routes

Level 1 or level 2 training available 

19+ Adult Learning Training  Part time training- Funding may apply!

Level 1 Hairdressing (no experience required) 1 day per week 9.30am to 3pm - approx 5 month course

Level 2 Hairdressing (L1 or previous experience required) 1 day per week 9.30am to 3pm - approx 12 month course

Level 2 Barbering (no experience required) 20 sessions either Monday's 9.30am to 2.30pm or 4pm to 8pm

Level 2 Eyelash & Eyebrow Treatments (no experience required) *evening course Monday's 5pm-8pm (15 session course)

Funding will apply for the course fee to be fully funded if one or more of the following meets criteria-

Claiming JSA. ESA, Universal Credits, Income Support or if working and earning under £16009.50 per year.

If any one of these or more apply them students can qualify for the above course fees fully funded leaving them nothing to pay.

ITEC Level 3 Nail Technology Training with Student Loan access

L3 Nail Technology training - 26 sessions attending Tuesday's 9.30am to 3pm
