Visit from a past Student that has successfully Progressed

progression of Student from Pre16 to Study Programme to Adult Learning to Employment

On Tuesday this week we were very proud to have one of our past students, Ashley Quin attend our academy to chat with our current pre16 & 16-18 years study programme students.  Ashley joined us approx 7 years ago as a pre16 student and trained with us in hair, beauty therapy and barbering over the years she attended progressing to E2E (Study Programme) and then onto Adult Learning.  During Tuesday's visit Ashley spoke confidently and had lots valuable advice for our current students. She spoke about her feelings of when she didn't want to take part and advised the students on how and why it was do important to cooperate. She also let them know that she lucky with all the chances Julie, Julia and Paula had given her and how it could have been very different for her if she hadn't complied with the programme.  Ashley also advised them that she knew of someone who attended at the same time as her and they didn't take part and attend and they ended up in prison.  Our current students took this visit very positively and hopefully will follow in Ashley's advice and journey as she's now in full time employment and holds up to level 2 Barbering qualifications  :)

16-18Years Study Programme for Hair, Beauty or Barbering!

Are you 16-18 years and looking for hair or know someone who is interested? in beauty or barbering training? Why not join our Study Programme Training Course at ALD Hair & Beauty Academy and ALD Barbering Academy based in Gateshead or Newcastle salons. New Level 1 hairdressing & Barbering Course Commencing 3rd November 2014!

We have a new level 1 hairdressing and barbering course starting induction on Tuesday 21st October 9.30am to 3pm and then the course commencing Monday 3rd November 2014.  The course will run every Monday 9.30am to 3pm lasting 4 months and then students can progress to level 2.

Our groups are ran with approximately 10 students which means students receive lots of our tutors attention and support and guidance through their course.

Level 1 hair & barbering course fee is £600.00 plus £60.00 admin fee however funding is available depending on students circumstances.  Eg, If students are claiming income support, Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance or if they are aged 23 years or below and don't hold a level 2 qualification or above or equivalent in any subject then the £600.00 course fee would be funded leaving them to only pay the £60.00 admin fee on enrolment.

 Enrolling is easy, all you'll need to do is call into our academy and completed our enrolment forms and bring along any proof of benefits and admin fees.
