Starting something new can feel like a big step especially when you’re thinking about your future. At ALD Hair and Beauty Training, we completely understand that mix of excitement and nerves, which is why we’re inviting young people aged 16–18 to join us for our free taster sessions this April.
These sessions are designed to give you a real feel for what it’s like to study with us before committing to one of our full-time 16–18 study programmes. Whether you’re curious about hairdressing, beauty therapy, or barbering, this is your chance to step into the academy, meet our friendly tutors, and see if it feels like the right fit for you.
Our programmes are more than just qualifications they’re a supportive environment where you can grow in confidence, learn practical skills, and prepare for your future career. Alongside your vocational training, you’ll also receive support in Maths, English, and employability skills, helping you build a strong foundation for whatever comes next. We keep our training groups small so that every student gets the attention and encouragement they need.
One of the things students love most about learning with us is the hands-on experience. All products and equipment are provided, so you can fully immerse yourself in salon-based learning without worrying about extra costs.
We also know that visiting somewhere new can feel daunting, so you’re very welcome to arrange a visit beforehand. You can bring a parent or carer along, have a chat with our team, and get a feel for the space at your own pace.
Our taster sessions are gentle introductions no pressure, just a chance to explore. We’ll be running the following sessions:
- Tuesday 14th April – Beauty Therapy (9:30am–12pm)
- Tuesday 14th April – Hairdressing (9:30am–12pm)
- Wednesday 15th April – Barbering (9:30am–12pm)
- More will be arranged
These sessions are a great way to build your confidence ahead of starting in September, and many students find that attending a taster helps ease those first-day nerves.
During your time with us on programme, you could work towards qualifications such as:
- Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing
- Level 1 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
- Level 2 Certificate in Barbering
Spaces for our taster sessions are limited, so we’d encourage you to get in touch as soon as possible if you’re interested.
